Self Registration Portal Guide

Overview

You've been asked to complete an onboarding process — welcome! This guide walks you through everything from signing up to finishing your onboarding, step by step.

The self-registration portal is a simple online form hosted at WorkZerk where you enter your details. Once you register, you'll receive an email with a personal link that takes you straight into your onboarding without the need to login, enter a password or install anything.

Getting to the Registration Page

There are two common ways you might reach the registration page:

1. You were given a link Someone from the organisation may have sent you a web link (for example, by email or text message). Simply click or tap the link — it will open the registration page in your browser. The link should look something like this (with your unique token after the bolded text):

2. You scanned a QR code You might see a QR code displayed on a shared screen, iPad, printed sign, or poster — for example, at a reception desk or site entrance. Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code, and it will open the registration page on your own device.

Scanning the QR code with your own phone means you don't have to wait in line to use a shared device. You can fill in the form at your own pace, wherever you're comfortable.

Filling In the Registration Form

The registration page asks for a few basic details:

First Name (required) — Enter your first name.

Surname (required) — Enter your last name / family name.

Email Address (required) — Enter an email address you have access to. This is where your personal onboarding link will be sent, so make sure it's correct and that you can check it.

Mobile Phone (optional) — You can add your mobile number if you'd like, but it's not required to continue.

Once you've filled everything in, tap the Register button.

Note: Double-check your email address! Your onboarding link is sent to the email you enter, so if there's a typo, you won't receive it.

What Happens After You Register

After you tap Register, you'll see a confirmation pop up on the screen. At the same time, an email will be sent to the address you entered. This email contains your personal onboarding link.

1. Check your inbox — Open the email account you used to register. Look for an email from WorkZerk (it should arrive within a few minutes).

2. Click the link in the email — The email will contain a link. Click or tap it to open your onboarding directly in your browser. When the link opens you should see a secure website connection to workzerk.com.au. This means that all information transmitted is encrypted.

3. Complete your onboarding — Follow the on-screen steps. Depending on what the company or organisation requires, this might include providing personal details, uploading documents, reading and accepting policies, or completing other tasks. Just follow along — it's all guided.

Your Link Won't Expire

Your personal onboarding link stays active, so there's no rush. You can close the page and come back to it later — just find the email again and click the link. You'll pick up right where you left off.

Already Registered Before?

If you've previously started onboarding with the same organisation but lost your link, don't worry. Simply go back to the registration page and enter the same email address you used last time. A fresh onboarding link will be sent to your email, and you can continue where you left off.

You'll see the same confirmation message whether you're registering for the first time or re-entering your email. Either way, just check your inbox for the link.

What Happens to my File Uploads?

When you upload files via WorkZerk as requested for onboarding, they’re stored on the same rock‑solid cloud platform trusted by banks, governments, and major global companies. Microsoft Storage (Azure) keeps everything encrypted at rest, tightly access‑controlled, and constantly monitored behind the scenes. Your onboarding info stays private, protected, and exactly where it should be—safe and secure on Microsoft’s world‑class infrastructure.

Your uploaded files and data never leave the secure Microsoft server which is based in Sydney (it is not stored overseas or on unencrypted devices).

WorkZerk will by default automatically delete any file once it has been manually human approved to help our clients comply with the Australia Privacy Principles but the company or organisation you are being onboarded with may have a legal or compliance obligation to keep them (on WorkZerk). As every situation will be different, please contact this company for more information about their data retention policy.

All Admin users accessing WorkZerk to view and verify your uploaded files are required to authenticate with 2FA (Two Factor Authentication). This extra security step vastly improves the security of your data. Alternative methods of submitting files and documents (such as emailing them) are vastly inferior in terms of access control measure and long term data privacy.

You can request deletion of your data at anytime by contacting the company or organisation you onboarded with.

Common Questions

I made a typo in my email — what do I do? Simply go back to the registration page and register again with the correct email address. Your onboarding link will be sent to the new, correct email.

Can I complete my onboarding on my phone? Yes! The registration page and onboarding process are designed to work on phones, tablets, and computers. Use whichever device is most convenient for you.

I can't find the email with my onboarding link. First, check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, go back to the registration page and enter your email address again — a new link will be sent. Make sure you're checking the same email account you used to register.

Do I need to create an account or remember a password? No. There's no username or password to remember. Your email link is your personal access to the onboarding process. Just click the link in your email whenever you need to continue.

What if I started onboarding but didn't finish? No problem — your progress is saved from where you last saved it. Find the original email with your link, or go back to the registration page and enter your email again to get a fresh link. You'll be taken back to where you left off.

I'm at a site and there's a QR code — what do I do? Open the camera app on your phone and point it at the QR code. You should see a link or notification pop up — tap it, and the registration page will open on your phone. From there, fill in your details and tap Register. This is a quick way to get started without needing to use a shared device.
