Onboarding Credits

An onboarding credit is required to complete onboarding/registration which is 50 cents including GST. This is also incurred each time onboarding needs to be completed again, for example if a licence expired after 5 years.

If you don’t require ongoing compliance management of your people, you can simply archive onboardees and their they will remain ‘onboarded’.

The Starter plan comes with 50 onboarding credits (worth $100) so you can onboard up to 50 contractors without any cost (until March 1st 2026).

After your trial finishes, you can upgrade to a paid Starter plan if this suits your situation and continue using WorkZerk.

  • An onboarding credit costing 50 cents is required for each contractor to start onboarding in your portal, and is used as the fairest way to measure activity using WorkZerk.

A credit is used when a contractor starts any Onboarding compliance process such as uploading a document or agreeing to a declaration.

If you send them an invite but they don’t use the portal, you won’t lose a credit.

For example, you would need one onboarding credit for each person onboarded.

It is also incurred when a document expires and that onboardee needs to upload their new license/certificate (or whatever has expired). This will only occur though if the onboardee is Active (not archived).

By charging for each onboarding action within WorkZerk, we are able to offer a lower monthly recurring subscription cost.

  • Small businesses and organisations mostly use the Starter plan, and only upgrade to Pro if their data storage needs require it.

If you are onboarding more than 50 members per month, get in touch with us for a custom plan quote - it may work out better value than the Pro plan and it won’t cost anything to find out.

  • The Pro plan offers up to approximately 3000 active, securely stored documents. This is more than enough for almost all situations, as you will normally opt to ‘self destruct’ sensitive documents like ID documents, certificates etc once you have human verified them.

It is not recommended that you keep sensitive documents such as idenfifcation after they have been approved.

Therefore, the 3000 files limit in the the PRO plan should be sufficient even for multi site or higher volume onboarding situations.

  • When uploading documents you can enable ‘Prompt for Expiry’ which will require the contractor to enter the expiry date against the uploaded file (which can then be manually verified).

14 days from the expiry date, if the contractor is ‘Active’ then a reminder email will be sent for the contractor to upload a new document.

We call this a ‘Compliance Refresh’ and it will not incur another onboarding credit.

Likewise, if you add additional onboarding steps which render your Active Contractors ‘unonboarded’ they can complete the steps and get onboarded again without incurring another onboarding credit.

Onboarding credits only apply to the initial creation of the contractor in the system as a new contractor within the portal.
