Understanding Your User File Storage Meter
WorkZerk shows a File Storage meter in your User Settings so you can see at a glance how much of your plan's storage you're using.
What It Measures
The meter adds up every file currently stored against your account. This includes two things:
Files uploaded by onboardees during onboarding, such as licences, certificates, insurance documents and ID photos. It also includes files you've attached to your onboarding step templates, such as PDF guides, policy documents and images used in instructions.
If a file has been deleted, it no longer counts toward your total.
How Storage Is Attributed
Storage is calculated per Space Owner, not per individual user. If you own one or more Spaces, every file uploaded into any of those Spaces counts toward your total, regardless of which admin or onboardee uploaded it.
This matters if you manage multiple Spaces. A single meter reflects your combined usage across all of them, which is also how your plan limit is applied.
If you're an admin or collaborator on someone else's Space, those files count toward the Space Owner's storage, not yours.
When the Meter Updates
The meter recalculates automatically whenever a file is uploaded, replaced or deleted anywhere across your Spaces. You shouldn't need to think about it, the number you see is always current.
If you'd like to force a recalculation yourself (for example, after a bulk cleanup), tap Recalculate Storage and WorkZerk will refresh the total on the spot.
Approaching Your Limit
As you get close to your plan's storage limit, WorkZerk will prompt you with upgrade options. You won't lose access to existing files, but new uploads may be blocked until you either free up space or move to a plan with more capacity.
If you're unsure which plan suits your needs, please get in touch and we'll help you work it out.
