Input Field Types in Step Templates
Within the INPUT section of a Step Template in WorkZerk there are 7 types of fields you can choose from:
None
As the name implies, selecting this means that nothing will show in the portal for this step (in terms of any Onboardee input).
Text
A single line text field will be displayed with the associated Input Label.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require input from the Onboardee.
Text Block
A multi-line self expanding text field will be displayed with the associated Input Label. The Onboardee will be able to enter up to 3000 characters in their response.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require input from the Onboardee.
Single Choice
A single choice will display radio buttons to the Onboardee allowing one choice from a list of options defined in EDIT CHOICES.
As the Admin user, you can type a new option on a new line in EDIT CHOICES up to a maximum of 30 choices.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require one choice to be selected from the Onboardee.
Multi Choice
A multi choice will display check boxes to the Onboardee allowing multiple choices from a list of options defined in EDIT CHOICES.
As the Admin user, you can type a new option on a new line in EDIT CHOICES up to a maximum of 30 choices.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require at least one choice to be selected from the Onboardee.
Date
A date picker field will be displayed in the Portal spanning the entire row of the device. The Onboardee will be able to enter a date using the keyboard in the Australian date format, or they can use the date picker button to select a date.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require input from the Onboardee.
Check Box
A checkbox will be displayed in the Portal with the associated Input Label.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require a checked or TRUE value to be selected. Therefore, this Input Type is ideal for accepting terms and conditions or other ‘must check’ questions.
Selfie
A selfie Input Type will be released soon. It will allow the Onboardee to upload a selfie which will be stored in their Contact record. The selfie image will also then display on the portal and in other areas of the application.
If REQUIRED is on, this field will require an upload.
