Portals Tab

In WorkZerk, you always operate within two contexts: your Space (Workspace) and your current Portal. A Space can contain multiple Portals, each serving a different purpose. For example, you might create separate Portals for different worksites, workplaces, projects, or client groups.

When you switch to a different Portal, WorkZerk updates to display only the information for that Portal. This includes:

  • The onboarding workflow specific to that Portal

  • Only the people who have been added to that Portal as Onboardees

  • Any Portal-specific settings and configurations

How to Switch Portals

  1. Navigate to the Portals tab within the Admin Area

  2. Search for the Portal you want to switch to

  3. Click the Switch button

You'll now be working within the selected Portal context.

Filtering the Portal List

By default, the Show Active Only checkbox is enabled, which hides any inactive Portals from the grid. Uncheck this option if you need to view or reactivate an inactive Portal.

Portal Fields

Portal Name

This will show everywhere within WorkZerk, in the Portal and in related emails and updates. Make your name as descriptive as possible, The Portal name field is a required field.

Tagline

This may appear underneath or side-by-side with the Portal Name. The Tagline is a sub name, and can be used an additional field to describe the portal. If you are setting up a portal for site or location, this would commonly contain the physical address or branch name.

Main Location/Venue

Here you will either select from the dropdown an existing Location from Contacts, or you can create a new location. The Main Location/Venue field is optional.

Main Contact Name

This field populates automatically from the main Space owner.

Main Company

This field populates automatically from the main Space owner, and is shown in the portal.

Main Email

Main Phone

Self Registration Token

This token is used to create the unique URL to provide access to the self registration portal where Onboardees can self-register to complete onboarding. Click on the NEW button next to the hidden token to regenerate this (if required).

Archived

Setting a Portal to Archived is required sometimes within WorkZerk to free up more space for additional Active portals. Archived Portals cannot be edited or accessed by Onboardees.

Blurb

This is your text blurb or description of the portal that will show on the Portal and other forms of communication such as onboarding emails. The blurb might contain a description of what the portal is all about. The Blurb field is a text field only.
